| Abstrak | Landslides that occur in Indonesia are generally caused by rain and earthquakes. This book focuses on landslides caused by the influence of rain. In addition, this book also discusses the occurrence of landslides caused by rain occurring on both natural and artificial slopes (embankments) using the Cracked Soil Theory approach to an analysis of landslides that occur in the slopes, through a Geotechnical and Geophysical approach. The Geophysics approach uses 2D Geoelectrical Analysis while the Geotechnical Study uses the analysis of soil parameters and landslides that occur in the slopes. The discussion of Geophysics detects and discusses the existence of weak areas in the form of cracks (micro-cracks) in the slopes. When it rains, water will infiltrate through the cracks in the slope and then decreasing the value of the Safety Factor (SF) of a slope. SF value obtained from Geotechnical analysis. The analysis to obtain the FS value of the slope utilizing the Finite Element Method Analysis with the help of PLAX |

The analysis to obtain the FS value of the slope utilizing the Finite Element Method Analysis with the help of PLAXIS Ver 8.6 and Midas GTS NX software. An explanation of the soil parameters inputted into the software becomes the concern in this study. The material in this book provides a new paradigm in perspective in the analysis of slides in slopes through the cracked soil approach. The combination of Geotechnical and Geophysical in landslide analysis has been studied by the author in his dissertation at Geotechnical ITS-Surabaya and the results have been applied to landslide cases that the author had worked on in Kalimantan and Java. In addition, as a result of reading this book, readers will be able to predict the location of future landslide occurrences that have been considered blind spots by some geotechnical and geophysical experts who studied landslides separately. |
